It too easy to go through the motions, to put in time on you feet and call it practice or training, I see it everywhere I go. Punching a clock is not training. There must be focus and intensity. You play and compete the way the way you train. Train fast to play fast. Make the training reflect the way you want to play, move quickly between drills. Have clear objectives. Don’t do anything over ten minutes. Break up the teaching. Make the reps count. If you are standing around listening to coach talk chances are there is little or no learning going on. Make the time count, long practices don’t always count.Its not the time you put in, it what you put into the time. Then bottom line is are the players getting better or getting tired.
